Christine + Jason's engagement session was last February (2015) but it felt like the perfect session to post now that we're slowly working ourselves towards snowier days here in WNY. Their session was actually split into two separate days thanks to some surprise slushy snow/rain on their first session date. But, it worked out tremendously – giving Christine and Jason a diverse set of images from both the village location of East Aurora and the wintery woodlands that they love so much. Both days were freezing (even with some beautiful sun the second day), but they were incredible troopers and trekked through the snow and cold with me to get some amazing photos of them and their love!
If you're planning a winter engagement session of your own, here are a few tips to keep in mind before heading out:
Always bring extra socks and another set of boots with you. After walking around outside in the wintertime – especially if in snow! – your feet will get cold, and it feels soooo good to slip your toes into some warm socks and shoes for the ride home! Also, hand warmers are a great thing to bring with you, just in case it's extra cold! They are perfect for keeping your hands warm (and work well as temporary cheek warmers, too)!
